Twinsley Tried & Trues

Things we’ve used, loved, and recommend to other kiddos!

The ages that we’ve enjoyed them is noted as reference for other Rett families or those with global developmental delays.

Lulu’s love for her babies started around 8 months and still holds strong to this day. Light enough for limited grip strength and machine washable means these babies go everywhere with us!
Great for chewing and to satisfy the need to mouth everything at every age! We still reach for this toy weekly at 18 months.
Plush ring stackers! While we can’t stack them back on, they provide great resistance to develop fine motor skills and sensory exploration. 15 months.
Although designed by Lovevery for 5-6 month olds, The Twinsleys only really started to love this toy beginning at 15 months.
Our beloved “spaghetti” ball was #1 in our hearts from 5-13 months old. We also loved the “Manhattan Skwish” wooden toy during this time as well!
An Upseat is 1000000000% worth it the moment your kid is trying to start to sit. The development of this hip safe product has been a game changer for the low-muscle tone community and beyond. Plus, you can use this in the splash pad too!
Snuggly crunchy books have been a hit since about 6 months! Especially the ones by “Make Believe Ideas” …they’re a sensory dream!
These handles are great for more than just bottles when used with kids low grip strength or ataxia.
A gift from Grammy and Grampa just before our first birthday and an immediate hit! Now at 18 months, we still love the lights, sounds, and taking everything out of the tank.
The sounds in this book require hardly any pressure to activate! Something that is often difficult for kids with neurodevelopmental syndromes. Introduced at 18 months.
We waited until Claire could reliably sit up (~16 months) before using but we realized we can use our Upseat with it for Lulu as well! I recommend this at any age when it’s warm! A hose lets you control the height of the spray so that way it isn’t overwhelming and the water remains only about 1″ deep.
